Mein Leben in Vietnam. — Hanoi —

Nun lebe ich seit etwa 1 ½ Jahren in Ha Tinh Nord Zentral Vietnam. Am Anfang bin ich nach Vietnam gekommen ohne groß die Kultur oder das Land zu kennen. Mit voller Freude und Enthusiasmus habe ich die ersten 3 Monate in Hanoi gewohnt und mich langsam an das neue Land gewöhnen können.
Dort habe ich das erst mal Sprachunterricht gehabt, dieser hat mich ehrlich gesagt das eine oder andere Mal zu Verzweiflung gebracht. Mit unserer Sprache in Deutschland ist die hier nicht zu vergleichen. Eine Tonsprache wie die Vietnamesische hat mich oft dahin geführt das ich die Worte zwar kannte, aber diese nicht aussprechen konnte. Oft habe ich gehört, you speak very well Vietnamese, but i dont understand you also du sprichst wirklich gut vietnamesisch, aber ich verstehe dich nicht. Naja nach diesen kleinen Rückschlägen habe ich es nun doch geschafft mir einen kleinen Wortschatz an zueignen. Einen Wortschatz mit dem ich wenigstens was zu essen bestellen kann und ein kleine Unterhaltung nicht aus dem Weg gehen muss.
Hanoi war für mich eine schöne Zeit, alles war so neu so aufregend. Immer wenn ich wieder Hanoi besuche setze ich mich oft in ein Kaffee an einem der vielen Seen und beobachte die Menschen. Lasse die Geschehnisse auf mich wirken und die Gedanken schweifen. Oder ich fahre einfach Taxi, fahre durch die Stadt um mir das Treiben am Rande der Straße anzuschauen. Die kleinen Garküchen, die unzähligen Geschäfte und Obststände oder die Gemütlich an der Straße sitzenden Vietnamesen die in Ruhe einen Tee schlürfen.
Die Frauen mit ihren Kindern sind für mich wirklich was besonderes, wie sie mit ihren kleinen umgehen, wie liebevoll aber auch bestimmt sie gehätschelt und getätschelt werden. Ich finde es immer interessant wenn ich die Mütter sehe, die Mütter die mit einer kleinen Schüssel und einem Löffel bewaffnet, hinter ihren Kleinen herlaufen und sie zu füttern versuchen.
Die Zeit in Hanoi war schon schön, doch wohnen möchte ich aufgrund der Lautstärke dort nicht unbedingt. Das Beschäftigte Treiben der Menschen und die ständigen Motorengeräusche würden mich, der auf dem Land großgeworden ist, doch sehr stören. Darum bin ich auch immer wieder froh wenn ich zurückkommen kann, zurückkommen in mein Ha Tinh.

Aktivitäten
Zum Einkaufen eignet sich die Altstadt um den Hoan Kiem See am besten. Kunsthandwerk, Souvenirs und andere Dinge finden sich in den engen Gassen. Die Preise sind verhandelbar, man sollte etwa zwei Drittel bis drei Viertel des genannten Preises erzielen koennen. Die Preisniveau ist generell sehr tief.
Wer selber nicht so viel Spaß am Einkaufen hat, sich aber das bunte Treiben nicht entgehen lassen will, der sollte sich in einem der unzähligen kleinen Läden niederlassen, die Bia Hoi anbieten. Der Clou ist aber gar nicht so sehr das Bier (lecker und extrem preiswert) sondern die Tatsache, dass man meist auf kleinen Plastikstühlen direkt vor den kleinen Shops sitzt und damit mitten im bunten Treiben der Altstadt. Da kann man es einige Zeit aushalten und erlebt viel mehr, als wenn man sich selber durch die Souvenirshops drängelt. Ein perfekter Ort um auch mit Einheimischen ins Gespräch zu kommen.
Pagoden und Kirchen
Ein-Säulen-Pagode, Duong Chua Mot Cot, Ba Dinh Dist. Die originale Pagode aus dem 11. Jahrhundert wurde 1954 während des Französischen Krieges zerstört, jedoch bereits ein Jahr später rekonstruiert. Die Form der Pagode erinnert an eine Lotusblume und wurde vom Kaiser Ly Thai Tong in Auftrag gegeben, nachdem ihm im Traum die Göttin der Barmherzigkeit erschien und ihm einen Sohn auf einer Lotusblume sitzend überreicht hat.
Der Den Ngoc Son (Jadeberg-Tempel) steht auf der gleichnamigen Insel nahe des Nordufers des Hoan Kiem Sees und ist über eine geschwungene Holzbrücke erreichbar. Die Insel und der Tempel sind eine ruhige Oase mitten in der Stadt.
Die katholische Kathedrale St. Joseph gibt es in der Strasse Pho Nha Tho zu besichtigen.
Denkmäler
Im Ho Chi Minh Mausoleum am Ba Dinh Platz ist der einbalsamierte Leichnam des ersten Staatsoberhauptes aufgebahrt. Die Vietnamesen stehen in bester Sonntagskleidung stundenlang an, um einmal ihren Helden sehen zu können. Touristen sammeln sich an einem Punkt und werden dann an der Schlange vorbei durchgeführt. Fotografieren und Filmen ist im Inneren strengstens verboten. Das Mausoleum ist jedes Jahr vom 5. September bis Anfang Dezember geschlossen. Öffnungszeiten: Di-Do/Sa-So 8:00-11:00. Der Eintritt ist kostenlos.
Museen
Völkerkundemuseum, 191/20/10 Duong Nguyen Van Huyen, Nghia Do, Can Ciay. Austellungsgegenstände über die Kinh (Viet) sowie die ethnischen Minderheiten und deren Geschichte. Tel.: 8 360 350. Im Garten des Museums sind die für die ethnischen Gruppen typischen Häuser nachgebaut und begehbar. An Sonntagen sind dort viele Brautpaare beim Schießen der Hochzeitsfotos zu sehen. Der Eintrittspreis beträgt 20.000 Dong (Stand November 2007). Das Museum befindet sich ca. 7 km vom Stadtzentrum entfernt im Westen von Hanoi. Um dort hin zu gelangen, kann man am Nordende des Hoan Kiem See in den Bus der Linie 14 steigen und den Schaffner – bei dem auch das Ticket gekauft (3000 Dong pro Person) werden kann – bittet, einen am Museum rauszuwerfen. Zurück zum Hoan Kiem See geht es wieder mit dem Bus Nr. 14, der auf der gegenüberliegenden Strassenseite der Aussteigestation wieder in der entgegengesetzten Richtung fährt.
Straßen und Plätze
Die engen Gassen der Altstadt sind eine Attraktion für sich. Wie in anderen Städten Vietnams sind die Straßen nach den verschiedenen Gewerben aufgeteilt. Die Straßennamen orientieren sich an den Dingen, die dort hergestellt werden (auch wenn sich mittlerweilen in fast jeder Straße auch Souvenirshops für Touristen befinden).
Die Long-Bien-Brücke führt über 1.6 Kilometer über den roten Fluss. Seit die neue Brücke für Autos und Motorräder eröffnet wurde, ist sie neben der Eisenbahn für Fußgänger und Fahrräder reserviert.
Parks
Im Park gleich neben dem Mausoleum befindet sich das ehemalige Wohnhaus Ho Chi Minhs, ein einfaches Holzhaus auf Pfeilern, das gleich neben seinem privaten Luftschutzbunker steht.
Verschiedenes
Der Literaturtempel (Eingang an der Pho Quoc Thu Giam) ist fast 1000 Jahre alt und war 1076 Vietnams erste Universität. Die Van Mieu genannte Anlage wurde als Tempel für die Verehrung von Konfuzius gegründet und als Akademie für die Söhne der Nation erweitert. Sie ist in mehrere durch Mauern und Tore getrennte Innenhöfe gegliedert. Das mittlere der drei Portale wird von dem Pavillon des Sternbildes der Literatur bekrönt, das mit seinen vier runden Fenstern als Wahrzeichen Hanois bekannt ist. Im dritten Innenhof wird ein Teich von zwei Reihen von Schildkröten getragenen Steinstelen flankiert, auf denen die Namen der Absolventen eingemeißelt sind, die hier zwischen 1442 und 1779 ihre Prüfung abgelegt haben.
Das Wasserpuppentheater (mua roi nuoc) wird ausschließlich in Vietnam und besonders im Norden praktiziert. Nach dem es in der Nachkriegszeit weitgehend in Vergessenheit geriet, erlebt es jetzt eine Renaissance. Das Thang Long-Theater am Hoan Kiem-See ist heute das bekannteste. Eintrittspreis 40.000 Dong (Stand 2001). Die Puppenspieler stehen im Wasser hinter einem Vorhang und bewegen die Puppen mit Stangen und Schnüren.
