Erst mal ist zu sagen dass eine Schenkung an arme Menschen nicht die Optimallösung ist. Die beste Möglichkeit sie zu unterstützen ist indem beide Seiten, Geber und Empfänger, gleichermaßen Leistung erbringen müssen. Nun ist dies in einem mehrtägigen Urlaub, wie z.B. in Laos, nicht möglich. Wir haben eine Möglichkeit genutzt in dem wir mit Lokalen Menschen zusammenarbeiteten. Dies ist zwingend notwendig, da Menschen vor Ort die Gegebenheiten kennen und den Bedarf realistisch abschätzen können und wissen ob Unterstützung überhaupt gewünscht ist oder nicht. Von einem auf eigene Faust und Gedanken beruhendem Handeln ist dringend abzuraten!!
Wir haben uns über die Lage erkundigt und den Bedarf der Menschen, in z.B. einem Fischerdorf in Nord Laos, ermittelt und daraufhin gehandelt. Nach Absprache mit lokalen Freunden, wurden wir darauf hingewiesen das Schulmaterial für die Kinder fehle, (Stifte und Schreibhefte usw.). Also kauften wir, Pann und ich zusammen mit unseren laotischen Freunden, diese Materialien und ein paar Kleinigkeiten für die Kinder. Nach einer Terminabsprache besuchten wir das Dorf und verteilten diese Dinge. Es ist nochmals darauf hinzuweisen das dies keine Optimallösung darstellt, aber es ist eine Möglichkeit die Menschen dort zu unterstützen, die Bildung ihrer Kinder möglich zu machen oder zu erleichtern.
Laos
Als Land Locked Country (LLC) ohne Zugang zu einem Hafen hat es Laos schwer. In dem vom Kommunismus regierten Land herrscht Armut.
Laos gehört zu den zehn ärmsten Ländern Asiens, ist jedoch von den aufstrebenden “Tigerstaaten” Thailand, Vietnam und China umgeben. Fast zwei der fünf Millionen Menschen leben unterhalb der Armutsgrenze. 40 Prozent der Kleinkinder sind unterernährt. Der Grund: die traditionelle Einnahmequelle in den Bergregionen, der Reis- und Wanderanbau, geht unter dem einsetzenden Klimawandel zurück und bringt keine Erträge mehr. Viele Bergdörfer sind noch nicht über Straßen erreichbar. Die Bewohner leben isoliert ohne Zugang zu Märkten, Ärzten oder Schulen. Die mangelnde medizinische und tierärztliche Versorgung führt häufig zu Epidemien und zum Tod ganzer Tierbestände.
